TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR USE - AGRICHEM TANK MIXDATABASE
VERSION 1 – September 2004
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
You may use this database if you accept these terms and conditions. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, please click on “I DO NOT ACCEPT” at the end of this page and you will be returned to the main menu.
In these terms and conditions “Agrichem” means Liquid Fertiliser Pty Ltd ACN 105 456 148 as trustee trading as Agrichem, and includes its subsidiaries, holding companies, employees, contractors, officers, successors and assigns.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
By using the database you acknowledge that:-
It relates only to the ability to mix Agrichem products with agricultural chemicals. It should be used as a guide only. It relates to results obtained under laboratory conditions. Variations may occur in the field which Agrichem is unable to predict (including water quality and climatic conditions). For example, the water used in tank mixtures in the field may differ in quality from the water used in the laboratory tests (Brisbane potable water supply). Agrichem provides no guarantees or warranties with respect to:-Ø the compatibility of chemicals;
Ø the stability of mixtures; or
Ø the safety or suitability of any mixtures for use on crops.
Tests were conducted using Agrichem products and agricultural chemicals in a ratio of 1:1 (in 50 litres of water). This may be different from the manufacturer’s recommended rates (which are often higher). Nothing in this database should be interpreted as a recommendation by Agrichem to use anything other than the manufacturer’s recommended rate. Subsequent to the time of testing by Agrichem, manufacturers may have changed product formulations and recommended dilution rates and application rates. You are responsible for carefully reading and following all manufacturers’ recommendations and product safety information. The information contained in the database is based on formulations sold in Australia. Different formulations may be marketed in different countries under the same trade name.INTERPRETING RESULTS
C = Compatible: products mixed in to a stable tank mix
CA = Compatible with agitation: products mix but require strongagitation
NC = Not compatible : products do not mix
= Blank box : products not tested
FIELD TESTING
Even if this database indicates that products can be mixed, Agrichem strongly recommends that you conduct a preliminary test using the following procedure:-
A. Always use appropriate safety equipment and protective clothing.
B. Add one litre of water (same water source as normally used to fill spray rig) to a clear jar.
C. Add agricultural chemical to the jar at the label rate per litre of water.
D. Add Agrichem product to the jar at the label rate of water (including surfactants).
Note: some mixtures may settle out over time. This would be considered NC, that is, an incompatible tank mix. However, if on re-agitation the mixture is fully re-suspended in the water and maintains dispersion without the formation of larger particles, it can be considered CA , that is, compatible with agitation.
Should there be any doubt as to the compatibility of the mixture, apply each product separately.
Before using any chemicals, spray and observe a small test area before you spray the whole crop.
DISCLAIMER
Test results can become out of date as a result of changes in formulations. There are also many variables that may affect results in the field.
Agrichem will not be liable for the performance of another company’s products in mixtures with Agrichem products, or the subsequent performance of any mixed product. Neither will Agrichembe responsible for any loss or damage resulting from testing or application of a test mixture.
